Paignton Festival Giving Ceremony

Paignton Festival

We were lucky enough to sit among some of the very best community groups and organisations that Torbay has to offer at the Paignton Festival Giving Ceremony.

Thanks to the hard work that Mike Bailey (Chairman) and his team do throughout the year in Torbay, organisations like ours get the opportunity to apply for funding from monies raised at events like the Paignton Festival and Carnival.

We were fortunate enough this year to have been awarded a cheque of £100 to go towards increasing our equipment range.

We have one issue now though, what to spend it on!

With so many amazing items on our wish list we are spoilt for choice. We do think, however we may have found our next purchase in the form of an animatronic cat.  These feel and sound like real cats. But they’re so much more than soft fur, soothing purrs and pleasant meows. These cats respond to petting, hugging and motion much like real ones but don’t require any special care or feeding. This personally sensory rich experience can bring joy and comfort. We can’t wait to show him or her off. We feel a naming competition coming on!!

Companion Pet

On a more serious note though, we would like to say a HUGE thank you to Mike and his team for all their hard work. Without amazing people like this we wouldn’t be able to offer what we do. They do such a fantastic job, long may it continue.
