No Limits Cafe & Hub

Sense Abilities Collaboration with No Limits Community Cafe & Hub

No Limits mission is to establish a Community Cafe & Hub where young people with additional needs learn new skills. Gain work experience & are supported in their transition to work & a more independent adult life. Their vision is a world where young people with additional needs are valued & included in Society.

They offer an accessible environment to the general public & other more isolated groups within society. This includes those with dementia, those with sensory & communication difficulties. Supporting the breaking down of barriers within society.

The Kitchen & Cafe will be staffed by those with disabilities offering a Total Communication environment. With their cafe advocating this, they will work with other employers to support them in realising the capabilities of staff & make relevant & appropriate adaptations to their workplaces to support those with additional needs.

Key activities will include supporting work experience & internships for those on catering & hospitality training, work experience for year 11 pupils within Specialist Educational Provisions, voluntary short programmes for those wishing to gain work & life skills in both the kitchen & front of house, social & information sharing opportunities for community groups both with & without additional needs. Additionally they would like to provide opportunities in the community. For those looking for voluntary/paid work as coaches/support workers for those with additional needs.

Sense Abilities is pleased to be collaborating with No Limits Cafe & Hub and hope that once our own Sensory Cafe & Hub is up and running in 2019 that we will have a delicious supply of cakes and and the like for all to enjoy. Produced and made by the No Limits kitchen.
