Free pop-up sensory sessions thanks to funding

We are pleased to announce we have received funding from the wonderful Daytrippers Foundation.

The funding we receive will go towards providing free pop-up sensory sessions in Libraries local to Torbay.

We’re really excited about this and it’s all thanks to our new Director Tammy Maguire. We will introduce her in a blog post all of her own soon so keep your eye out!

We already have trail sessions booked at Torquay and Paignton Library. Details for these can be found on the events on our Facebook Page HERE.

Our aim is to make sensory accessible and beneficial to all.

This funding will be towards making sure these free pop-up sensory sessions are accessible to those with additional needs and their families but we will be welcoming all ages and abilities at future sessions.

So now the planning starts on getting dates in the diary, getting the word out and of course having lots of sensory fun.

The end of one year and the start of another!

2019, what a year it was for Sense Abilities. It was full of highs and a couple of lows. Last year saw us receiving funding to put on free community sensory sessions which were a huge success.

Torquay Library Sensory Session

We have loved working with Torbay Libraries

Just under a year ago we had a meeting with Sam Grace from Torquay Library to discuss ‘popping-up’ with our equipment.
