Sandy Adams

My name is Sandy and I live in the lovely city of Hereford. I’m a mother of one and have lots of nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews.
I’m so excited to have been asked to be one of the Non-Executive Directors for Sense Abilities and feel very lucky to be included in this fantastic team.
I have NVQ Levels 1 and 2 in Children’s Early Years
I’ve worked within homes for The Children’s Hospital Hospice Care and in a variety of Adult and Children’s settings.
I’ve also worked with children who have Additional Needs in a Specialist School, where I helped run a Saturday Club and I volunteer for the Red Cross as a massage Therapist. I’ve worked in the Nursing and Care fields for around 30 years with specialist training in End-of-Life Care, Levels 1 and 2 and a Nursing and Care Diploma Level 3.

I’m looking forward to breaking down the barriers by making multi-sensory environments mobile and accessible to all ages and abilities, wherever you live.
There is a lack of sensory support in my area and I want to help make a difference to that.
